Beans On Toast, is the stage name of British folk singer Jay McAllister from Essex, who rose to out of the UK folk scene in 2005. His songwriting openly deals with the topics of politics, drugs and love. He has six studios albums and has traditionally released a new record each year on his birthday, 1 December. Embarking on the Folk music scene in 2005, Beans on Toast opened Glastonbury Festival and has done so every year since. This success prompted him to support Kate Nash at London's Hammersmith Apollo in 2008. After much anticipation, he finally released his debut 50-track double album 'Standing On A Chair' in 2009. Produced by Ben Lovett from Mumford & Sons, it featured guest vocals by Emmy The Great, Frank Turner and members of The Holloways, amongst many others. Along with the Ian Grimble produced 2012 follow-up ‘Writing On The Wall’ both albums were well received and gained rave reviews in the Sunday Times and the Mirror alongside air play on 6Music, XFM, Radio 1 and 2. Jay's charm, humble nature and quirky stage presence was beginning to pay off as he slowly builds a fan base. Third album 'Trying to tell the Truth' was released in 2011 and was produced by the singer Frank Turner, with Beans later going on to be the support act for Frank Turner’s sold out Wembley Arena show in April 2012, leading him to record his fourth studio album, Fishing for a Thank you. He also headlined a sold out Scala show in Kings Cross, London, which was captured and released as the ‘Live at Scala’ album in 2013. His fifth album ‘Giving Everything’ was released on 1 December 2013 and made it into the top ten of the iTunes’ Singer Songwriter Charts. In 2014 performed to over 100,000 in one week opening Frank Turner’s UK stadium tour. In 2014, Beans On Toast toured America for the first time playing his own headline shows and several dates with Irish-American punk band Flogging Molly. He also released a limited edition 10” in the UK entitled ‘Best of Toast Pressed On A Vinyl’ for Record Store Day 2014 in April. Leading swiftly onto his sixth studio album being recorded titled "The Grand Scheme of Things" followed by his annual UK tour to celebrate. 2015 has been a mixture of Beans on Toast going backwards and forwards between the UK and USA, as well as playing one off shows in Amsterdam, Germany and South American etc. He kicked off the year touring American before returning to the UK for a "Off the road" tour visiting more discreet venues the UK has to offer. Leading him to welcome Festival season with open arms playing festivals such as YNOT Festival Boomtown and Glastonbury. In mid September, Jay followed old time friend Frank Turner to support him on his headline tour of America. In a midst of all this, Jay managed to record his seventh studio album "Rolling up a hill" which he recorded in Kansas with new found friends Truckstop Honeymoon and is pinned for the usual 1st December release, along with a UK tour to wrap up a busy and exciting year. == Discography == 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Beans On Toast (musician)」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
